COVID-19 Continued due diligence and safety measures
As key workers we have supported the important demands in the shipping and offshore industries. Additionally, we continued to do this throughout the global Covid-19 pandemic and UK quarantine.
Because of this AMI Marine are now well versed on the safety elements of social distancing and hygiene standards. What is more this means we can protect staff and visitors from Covid-19 to the best of our abilities. Across the UK, most areas have been allowed to reopen and resume business as normal.
Most of our staff are now returning to work in the office. We will continue to adhere to required safety standards set down by the British government.
What we are doing?
As per our previous news article (read here) we are adhering to 5 main principles:
- Carry out a COVID-19 risk assessment
- Develop cleaning, handwashing, and hygiene procedures
- Help people to work from home
- Maintain 2m social distancing, where possible
- Where people cannot be 2m apart, manage transmission risk
Additionally, with guidelines changing frequently we will continue to follow strategies set out by the Government as and when they change.
What is next?
In addition to staff returning to our offices, AMI Marine has also taken steps to ensure our September in house training goes ahead as planned. Also, our head office is now able to host guests for business meetings where a video call is not available or suited.
We would like to thank our valued customers and suppliers for supporting us throughout this global crisis.
AMI Marine has sailed the storm and we look forward to business reopening throughout the world.
Also, we look forward to seeing you at SMM in Hamburg.
Many thanks to you all at what is a very testing time.
